My name is Jayliah Jada v. Gorkum. Born in Haiti. Adopted at the age of 3 and living in the Netherlands for 23 years.
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for photography. What i find import is that the people i photograph tell their own story, about their: Identiy, Authenticity, Artisticity and Aesthetics. I want to highlight who they are. Their uniqueness shown freely without the jugdementall eyes of the world. For me its important to break the binary system of eurocentrisim, heteronormativity and portray all the people of this world.
